Instructions
- Heat oil and butter in pot over medium heat. During this time cut your chicken and sausage, however you choose.

- Add your garlic, celery, onions, and bell pepper to the pot. Let this cook for 10 minutes, until veggies are soft and onion is translucent. Be sure to stir often!
- Next, add your rice, broth, and water to the pot. Give it a good stir and add your seasonings, bring this to a boil.
- Lower heat to low-medium, cover and let simmer for 25-30 minutes or until rice is cooked.
- Take off heat, fluff rice, and serve. Garnish with green onions, hot sauce, and my personal choice soy sauce. Hope you enjoy!
Notes
Tips and Tricks,
- During rice cooking process, do not remove lid until the 25-30 minute mark.
- The Cajun Seasoning I used is Cajun Two Step.
- This reheats amazing second day, Sprinkle with water, breakup your rice, and reheat.
- Be careful to not scorch your rice, if this is happening reduce your heat and add a little more water.
- Washing your rice helps remove any unwanted dust and debris, It also removes the extra starch and helps create a lighter fluffier texture.
- I know the soy sauce is not very Cajun, but it's something we like in my household. Don't knock it till your try it.
