No Knead 4 Ingredient Bread
Discover how to bake the prefect loaf of bread, with this easy 4 Ingredient recipe. I'm sure you already have the ingredients laying around your house! All you'll need is flour, yeast, salt, water, and a large mixing bowl. In just a few hours, you'll have a delicious, golden- brown loaf of bread to enjoy with any meal. Cut in half and freeze the rest for later use. I promise you'll never go back to store bought bread, after you realize how easy this really is.
Equipment
- 1 Large Mixing Bowl
- 1 Clean Kitchen Towel
- 1 Large Dutch Oven
- Parchment Paper
Ingredients
- 3½ Cups All-Purpose Flour
- 2 Cups Warm Water
- 1½ tsp Salt
- 2 tsp Active Yeast
Instructions
Making the Dough
- In your large mixing bowl, combine your flour, yeast, and salt.
- Combine all of your dry ingredients. Then make a well to pour your water in. This helps to mix your dough ingredients thoroughly.
- Slowly pour in your warm water into your dry ingredients.
- Using a wooden spoon or a spatula mix your ingredient until combined. The bowl does not have to be clean.
- Your dough should be a sticky and not holding shape. Using your fingers, test to see if the dough will stick to them.
- If it does, it's ready. Cover your bowl with a clean kitchen towel. Place your covered bowl into your turn off oven.
- Leave it to rise for about 2 hours. This will give your yeast time to ferment.
Prepping for Baking
- Once your dough has doubled in size. Remove from the oven, keep covered.
- Preheat your oven to 450℉. Place your large Dutch oven in to preheat for 25 minutes.
- Once your have 15 minutes left, remove the cover of your dough.
- Using a lightly floured hand, your going to pinch the sides of the dough and bring it towards the middle. From the outer edge, in. This will create a ball-look.
- On a lightly floured, large piece of parchment your going to place the ball of dough right in the middle.
- Sprinkle a very small amount of flour on top.. Cover with your towel and leave for 10 minutes.
Time to Bake
- This is the last time your dough will set. Remove the towel and Gently score the top, however you like.
- Place your dough into your warmed Dutch oven. The easiest way to do this is by pitching all four sides of your parchment and gently placing in.
- Be sure your pulling the paper away from the dough, once in the Dutch oven,
- Cover with the lid and place into your hot oven. Let cook for 30 minutes.
- After 30 minutes, remove it from the oven. Check the paper, removing from the dough as needed.
- This time were going to place in back into the oven with no lid. Proceed to cook for an addition 15-17 more minutes depending on how crunchy you like your bread.
- Once your bread is finished, remove immediately onto a wire rack to cool.
- Let you bread cool for 40 minutes to an hour before cutting.
- Slice and Enjoy!

Tips and Tricks
- Honestly this recipe is so simple, I don't have much tips to give you.
- Make sure you flour your hands, generously when doing your folding.
- For a smaller 5q Dutch oven, cut recipe in half.
- Bread will mold after 5-6 days, so eat quickly or freeze. ( Not a problem, with a sandwich eating toddler.)
- For unthawing, wrap in a towel and let sit at room temp for a few hours.
- Serve with jams, Nutella, French toast, or sandwiches. There are so many options!
