Equipment
- 1 Large Mixing Bowl
- 1 Small Sauce Pot
- 1 Large Sheet Pan lined with parchment paper
- 1 Air tight container to store
Ingredients
- ¼ Cup Butter
- ½ Tbsp. Vanilla
- ½ Cup Honey
- ⅓ Cup Light Brown Sugar
- 3 Cup Oats preferred rolled oats, but quick is just fine.
- 1 Cup Almonds
- ½ tsp Salt
- 1 Tbsp. Cinnamon
Instructions
Let's make homemade granola
- Set your oven to preheat at 325℉.
- In a large bowl add your oats, almonds, salt, and cinnamon. Mix gently until fully combined.
- In your small sauce pot add your honey, butter, vanilla, and brown sugar. Heat on stovetop on medium to low heat. Make sure your stirring constantly. Continue this until everything is combined and sugar is melted. This shouldn't take longer than 10 minutes.
- Once everything is melted, add your wet ingredients to your dry ingredients. Stir until everything is coated evenly.
- On your lined sheet pan spread our ingredients out evenly. Press your granola firmly with your spatula or back of spoon. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
- When your granola is done cooking, allow it to cool completely. This will allow it to harden and form clusters. Which in my opinion is the best granola.
- Once your granola is cooled completely gently break and store in an airtight container. Serve with yogurt and fruit for the perfect breakfast combination.Enjoy!!
Notes
Tips and Tricks,
- not stirring in-between cook time helps the granola become clusters. If you prefer no clusters, stir your granola at the halfway mark in baking.
- If you would like to add dried fruit, do this when storing your granola.
- For a healthier option use coconut oil instead of butter when making.
